He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Harry Hammond; and a nephew, Christopher Lee Hammond. In addition to his beloved wife of 50 years he is survived by son, George Scott Hammond (Casey); daughter, Virginia Cheryl Edge (Ken); grandchildren, Blakley, Edin, Autumn, and Grady; two sisters, Maggie Roach, Cynthia Lee Drummond; a brother, Bill Meade; and many beloved extended family members.
